I would like to have a motor home, only with a full-sized house on wheels. That way I can drive down to the corner bakery without leaving the house. Convenient, huh?

Well, there are road regulations to think about... I mean, that's a REALLY wide load...

But the convenience factor IS appealing...

You know how you trap a cockroach under a cup and then slid a piece of paper under it to lift it up? I would try the same principle on a larger scale, especially if you have a basement. Get a really big, really strong, really thin piece of metal (hire someone to invent one if necessary), then raise up the house on some sort of hydrolics, attach the wheels and all other necessary parts, and away you go! Your basement will be there waiting for you when you come back from the bakery.

PS--Don't forget to attach the large, thin, strong piece of metal to your house in some permanent way. It would be really annoying if you had to stop suddenly and your house slid off.

PPS--Watch for low bridges. Actually, watch for ALL bridges.

PPPS--Hire one of those cars to drive in front of you, warning all on-coming traffic that there's a wide load ahead. Instruct them to force people off the road if (ok, WHEN) necessary.

Due to fuel costs, I would recommend converting your house into a hybrid.

I like the idea.. I wish I had thought of that.... I wonder if you could use that to go to a drive in and still be able to sit in a compfortable leather seat?

Yes, it is very convenient. Put wheels on your head.
