My Dr id an ultrasound at 17 weeks and said he was 80% sure he knew the sex but would rather be 90% sure. What do you think it is more likely to be? His machine was not as good as the ones at the ultrasound place.

The suspense is killing me.

I will probably find out next week anyway.

its hard to say because even if he was 90% it was a girl it could still be a boy because with a lot of boys the testicals do not descend until the 23rd week.

i know about the suspense thing i just had my ultrasound a week ago(i have two boys already). i thought i was having another one. anyway there was nothing there. 95% sure its a girl! wow! but i was only 19 weeks so it could still be a boy....and the suspense goes on.

good luck to you with the birth and baby!

They can tell the sex of a baby at 17 weeks, but then again even with the best machines there can be mistakes...well it is the person who is interrupting the ultrasound that causes the mistakes not the machine. But I can just imagine how you must be feeling....They told us it was to be a boy , then said no, it is a girl, so we waited for 20 weeks to see, and wow what a surprise...

well wouldnt you rather find out when the baby is born? I knew that my first two were a boy and girl just that feeling you get. If you really want to find out for sure go get a 3d ultra sound or wait till after 20 weeks that way you can see properly.

They prolly think its a girl, I mean its harder to tell if it is a girl unless the penis is easy to see or get too. You can tell at 12 weeks, that when I found out I was having boy with my first child. And his penis was just huge on the screen.lol.I am pregnant now, 14 weeks and I am just in a hurry to find out. I am actally going in for an ultra sound in 4 weeks so I can't wait.

did he say if he was 80% sure it was a boy or girl?

p.s. i have heard it is much more likely that anyone is having a girl i guess there are like 12 girls born to every boy all over the world may just be a rumor but who knows

I'm guessing its a girl as it is easier to tell a boy but there are no guarantee's .its the fun of finding out after the birth.
