I understand your desire to stay on budget, but to the best of my knowledge there is no such thing as "low income" insurance. What you are looking for is called "liability" insurance. This type provides upto certain dollar amounts for damage and/or injury of property and people in case you have an accident. It will not cover damage to your automobile. Several factors are used to figure the premiums of clients at there specific location. For example, a 40 year old male, living in rural Ohio will pay much less than a 18 year old male, living in Los Angles. Age, sex (though not so much anymore), location, type of car, ect. goes into these factors. I would suggest that you shop around on the Internet and by phone. But, realize that an Insurance Company like State Farm vs. some regional insurance company is going to have a significant difference in the service that you receive when you need it. Also, in all 50 states, the driver of the automobile is responsible to have proof of insurance available whenever asked by a policeman. It is the police decision whether to call the insurance company RIGHT THEN to verify your insurance. They can ticket someone for not having insurance OR they can arrest the driver for criminal fraud and IMPOUND the car.

Just driving that land yacht barge presents a hazard to all the Hyundai's and Mazda's. Low income insurance? Where can I get some? Besides two years liability insurance would be more than your car is worth. Sorry to put it that harshly. You really need a new car, attitude and good job, new life force, and reason to be driving. Just to be out here with the rest of us in debt up to are eye balls!

Geico! My rate was hella cheaper then the rest. I'm an 18 female with a 2004 Honda Civic. But its only liability. (600 something for 6 months)
*added after submariner662's rude comment: It's hard enough trying to make ends meet for some people. They don't need to be reminded of the hardships. They own a car so they can get to work to survive. Sometimes its a crappy loop to be caught in... having no money for a car, then not having a car to drive to work to make money FOR a car.... stfu and learn some manners, jerk off*

I wouldn't recommend going with the cheap insurance places. They rip you off so bad, and you have to make them do what you pay them for. In the end you will end up paying the same, but you are getting good service, and you will be thankful if you get in an accident.
If your driving record is good it should get decent prices at the more trusted insurance companies.
