Im not sure that I do, honestly. A friend of mine commited sucicide when I was 14 and his mother blamed me, and I wasn't able to attend his funeral. Was that supposed to happen? (I was 14 five years ago, but that still gets me to this day) But do YOU believe that everything that happens to you is supposed to happen? Do you believe we meet people for a specific reason? That whether we know it or not, they play an important role in our lives? What do you think?

I Believe Everything Is SUPPOSED to happen for a reason, but it doesn't always work out as planned. Maybe this boy, your friend, had a purpose in life, and it was cut short. Maybe God didn't plan for things to happen the way they did. Or maybe he knew exactly what he was doing. Maybe by this boy impacting your life (as sad as the circumstances are) you will be an adolescent social work or psychiatrist, and work with kids who have attempted suicide. Either way you look at it, this event had probably traumatized you beyond belief. Parents need someone to blame. You were a scapegoat. Im sorry. Good Luck.

Yes, i do believe everything happens for a reason. We may not know the reason right away or we may never know but somewhere down the line there is a reason. Just by smiling at someone walking down the street or holding a door open for someone may make that persons day brighter which in return that person does something that makes a major difference in someone elses life. Never take anything for granted, and never be afraid to show kindess to someone even when they don't deserve it. Someday it will come back to when you need it most!!!

And i am very sorry that you had to endure something so hard at such a young age!!!

yes i do believe that things happen for a reason. even though we go through some bad things in our lives i think they happen to make us stronger and some things that we have to deal with makes us feel horrible, we eventually go on with our lives, we will never forget these things, we just learn how to live with them. but the worse thing you can do is blame yourself. because you will never be able to move on. yes i also think that we meet certain people for a reason, just think of all the people you know and love and what each person brings to your life some people may bring joy others may bring pain, it is all just a part of life. i know what you went through must have been horrible for you, just always remember this person and how you felt when you were together all the good memories, then think of all the things you have accomplished since this has happened. god is the only one who knows our life's path so take each day in stride, be proud of who you are and the person you are today. live everyday like it is your last, because you don't know what tomorrow may bring!

I have to go against the crowd on this one. I do not think everything happens for a reason. I think we're here to do the best we can, and to figure out who we are and what our purpose is on our own, not according to some pre-ordained plan. Blaming everything on fate and karma is just an excuse not to take responsibility for our lives. If we sit around waiting for life to happen to us, we'll miss it. Every day we make choices, and every choice leads to another choice, which leads to another opportunity, which leads to another person we meet, and on and on. It's called living. We don't start at the end and work backwards - we start at the beginning and proceed forward.

I understand about the suicide staying with you - when I was 14, a classmate committed suicide. It was completely unexpected, as she was the 'queen bee' of my class. I wasn't particularly close to her - in fact, I'd helped write a nasty letter to her a few months earlier. We sorted that out, but the day before she committed suicide, she missed school. I heard a rumor that she tried to commit suicide by drinking Drano. I thought about going to her house to talk to her, but decided the rumor was just a silly story. The next morning she shot herself. I will always regret not talking to her. That was 24 years ago. It will never leave you. But it was not karma, or fate, or anything else. It's pretty ridiculous, if you think about it, to believe that everything that happens in this world is directly related to ME. Or you, or whoever is looking at an event and saying, "There's a reason this is happening in my life."

Well, parents get so emotional over this kind of stuff that they just can't blame themselves so they dont try to blame other people but they try to think of other alternitives. Now...if you got the kid into drugs, thats another thing but I'm sure that that didn't happen! I'm sure that if you asked the parents now, 5 years later, i'm sure that they would appoligies forever and feel stupid but if they dont, then maybe they just dont want to think about it or they i dont know...something but it is not your fault. I dont think that everything happends but I think that maybe, you will become a social worker when you are older because you want to help other people like the boy so you kind of are the judge of that. I know that i have horrible acne and that i want to help other kids like me so i am going to be a dermantoligist when i am older which might help someone else. so maybe that acne helped someone else. you just never know. im srry, im super confusing!!!

You worry too much!
There is no real good and bad in this universe. Only the interpretation of good and bad. In this universe there is only cause and effect, action and reaction. The winds of change can be for or against you. There is only "purpose" in this universe.
The purpose can help you or harm you. Some things you can control and other things you cannot. Why not just go with the ride in life while you are here and enjoy your life!
Good luck.

Well, I would say yes most things do happen for a reason, but this is not your fault. I have guilt to, but it is for little things. I am sorry about what hapend to you. Most things happen for a reason, but thngs we do like cheat on a test does not happen for a reason. Things like giving yourself 2nd degree burns might happen for a reason. Or like a friend commiting suicide that can happen for a reason too. I really hope that I helped you.
