I found a copy of Microsoft office 2000 for Dummies but I am running 2003. Should I buy the updated 2003 edition or are they basically the same book? I reading it for more information on Excel, Infopath, and Access. I am also open to suggestions on good books for these programs that are easy to read like dummies books. Thank you.

Wait for Office 2007 for dummies; I have used a beta of the program and its very different.

There are a number of differences between 2000 and 2003, but not as many as there will be when 2007 gets released.

Oh, and 2007 is worth it.

glance through it at the bookstore and note any changes. most people who buy these books never read them. when you get home open the on line helps and start to read. Go through the tutorials and everything else that you are supplied. there is a reason that these books are for dummies and part of it is that everything in the book is already in your help menu.

Yes, you do. That would be a lot updates in it. You don't need to buy the book, you can get help just while you are on it. Click "help".

depends, how dumb are you? I personally wouldn't buy any book written on the premise that I am a dummy.
