Beautiful, and great that you gave due credit to Robin. I heard this before and yes, it's a great idea because it expresses American exasperation over the attitude of the world toward the innocents in America. I live in New York City and saw 911 from my window. Those weren't birds flying from the twin towers, trying to escape the flames--they were people like you and me just going to work and raising a family. Bravo.

Not written by Robin Williams. Check out Snopes -

Origins: We don't know who is responsible for the piece quoted above, but it definitely wasn't actor/comedian Robin Williams (of Mork & Mindy television fame). This item's debut appears to have been a 20 March 2003 posting to the USENET newsgroup alt.motorcycles.harley, and from there it was rapidly disseminated via e-mail and blogs, credited to either "author unknown" or no one at all. The Robin Williams attribution wasn't tacked on until several weeks later.

Well its definitely not politically correct, but it does get your attention. If only he would run for president we might have something here. He has an effective plan, but is there any one willing to carry it out? I would definitely not vote for him. I don't believe that he would jump out say this. If he did it was surely just a joke. We were once considered "the shinning city on the hill" now we are the bully watchdog of the world. Who gave us this job? They should be reprimanded or worse yet fired.

Seen it. Read it. Deleted it off of my e-mail.

It's fun to think we could say things like that, but here's a brick wall for you: We need the other nations just as much as they need us.

You think we can take the world in a war? There are more "others" in this world than there are Americans. Don't know if I would pick that fight. . .

Besides, people have been saying the same thing for years. I love Robin Williams when he is doing comedy. He's not a political comedian. He should stick to what he knows.

Well, I actually like some of it.
I think we can use a tad of isolationism.
But it's a happy medium of course.
SOmetimes we have to interfere for charity and relief efforts, this is a given-- and our responsibility since we have so much.
But I don't believe in a complete free for all, like it seems he might suggest, everything is definatley not fine status quo...

Cool way to kill america. America cannot survive without international trade and tourists. It is the only thing keeping this country from collapse. It is one of the most unstable first world countries in the world economically.

The Robin Williams plan?

That was a farce, you moron!

Read all about it.

It sickens me when Conservatives tell the story of what they are doing and say that it's the liberals wanting to do it!
