how can i explain this to my mom?

my mom says no on make up but i want to where liner and eyshadow also mascara mainly the eye makeup the reason why my mom wont let me where makeup is because it causes wrinkles, make your skin look pale and cause you to put more on
is this true? or can you gve me ideas to tell my mom i want to wear eyemake up

well... you might not wanna hear this, but she's probably right. makeup is NOT good for your skin... in any way. you're young (i suppose) so the young-ness is the best makeup. i swear, girls with panda eyes don't look good.
but... if you still insist, talk with her and compromise. also, make sure you get good makeup... not those crappy ones!

How old are you?

If you're under 15, then I understand your mom's hesitation to let you wear makeup. A lot of girls don't know how to wear it, and end up looking...ahem, less than dignified. It's especially bad because there are a lot of freaks out there looking for young girls, and you look a bit older with makeup on.

Another thing might be that you mom might not want to see you growing up. My parents are the same way, I'm their little baby, and I'm growing up so fast, blah blah blah. You just have to humor them for a little while. It gets old, but you've just gotta keep your cool.

But if you're 15 or over, talk to your mom (maturely, calmly, when she's in a good mood) and tell her why you ant to wear makeup, that you'll pay for it (that's what you might have to do!), and how you'll wear it classily, and not cake it on. If she says no, then you might just have accept that. Don't start ranting and raving, it's likely to just tick her off. Keep your temper in check!

Wearing make up doesn't cause wrinkles. Just the only thing that does cause wrinkles is sun damage. So using sunscreen should help with preventing wrinkles. Don't know what to say about the other reasons she has. I think she just doesn't want you to wear make up because you are her little girl and she doesn't want you to grow up.

I am 26 and have only worn makeup 4 times in my life, twice I was in a play and the other two I was forced to ware makeup that matched my bridesmaid dress.
Every woman is beautiful. I am average looking, but I am beautiful. Learn to go out with your head held high and know you are gorgeous, what ever you may look like.
Make up is not good for you skin, it clogs pores, ages it and cause more spots. its expensive, a lot of it is tested on animals (yes, still), and it can become a crutch. A lot of women wont go out before they put their "face" on, all I need to do to get ready is shove on clothes and jewellery.
I look as beautifull when I get up in the morning as I did at at a ball the night before, I look good when i come out the shower, I am always beautiful and I need nothing to augment this.
I see women who don't want to be kissed or cuddled because they don't want to be smudged!!
Be yourself, Be proud, Be beautiful.
If you are happy in yourself, you wont need make up and you will glow and you will stand out from the crowd.

Ask your mom to use tinted moisturizers, cheek/lip stains/, brown mascara, lip gloss, and translucent powder. Don't use eyeliner, it will really age you...and you want to be cute not aged. And avoid lipstick...stick with lip glosses.

All of these things are amazingly sheer, light, won't cake, and will just give you an even complexion and a little color.

My parents didn't want me to wear makeup either. I found a way to put it on and make it look really natural, and only enhance my eyes. My mom really liked it. My dad gave up. She's probably just trying to help you to not look like a clown. Does she wear makeup? If so, maybe if you asked her for advice about it, it would smooth over the situation. Good luck. no make up doesn't cause wrinkles but it can cause skin problems like make u break out if u don't wash it off at the end of the day. i would say i m lucky to have a cool mum. i used to wear her make-up when i was young and then she bought me my first lip gloss. ask ur mum to consider on one thing at least. like let u to wear either eyeliner or mascara or eyeshadow. if she still doesn't then buy it urself.

I'm in my late 20s and I wear less make-up now then I did in high school.
I think natural is more beautiful.

i think eyeliner makes you look older to begin with, so my advice to you is. ask your mom if you could just maybe wear a very light neutral color and maybe a bit of mascara and a light lip gloss. Don't forget a daily facial moisturizer with SPF.

you can say mom liner and mascara is not on ur skin so u wont get wrinkles adn no one needs shadow as long as u hve mascara and liner that is all y need 4 ur eyes and some coverup that is all need

she doesn't want you to wear lots of makeup because it is bad for you skin and it makes you look a lot older than you really are. she doesn't want men to look at you the wrong way and try to take advantage of you cause most of these sick s.o.b's are pedifiles. she is just looking out for you. i know makeup makes you look cute and all but sometimes you don't need it at all if you are already pretty. trust guys will notice you anyway and many of them like girls without makeup because they look fake.
