I crave sweets (mostly chocolate) at least once a day. It won't go away until I eat some. I know its not healthy so I was wondering if there was anything I can do to subside my chocolate craving?!!

Instead of the chocolate we all know and LOVE..try something sugar free or chocolate milk which isnt so bad.

I have had quite a sweet tooth too and chocolate is a must for me. I have found that if I have dark chocolate around a small amount does the trick, but milk chocolate I end up eating the whole candy bar. I tried to pretend that an apple will be just as satisifying, but it isnt. Just eat the candy, or better yet, eat the apple and then have a little chocolate so that you get something healthy and get something you crave.

Well.. if you have to have chocolate... try a very small piece of dark chocolate (instead of milk chocolate)... it generally has less sugar, and much more flavor.

Other options.... lowfat chocolate milk. (Promised Land chocolate milk is like liquid chocolate... yummy).

During my pregnancy, I would have a cup of caffeine free Good Earth brand chai tea with a small amount of sugar or splenda and fat free half and half. It might not sound like muich, but it was really yummy.

Or... you can just enjoy the chocolate. Unless you are gorging yourself... your baby will be fine. Check with your doc if you are concerned.

Eat one small piece of chocolate. Your cravings should go away once you've satisfied them. Just remember, you only need a little.

Gorge yourself one day until you get sick, your money is all gone, your covered in half-digested choclate and then poof! the problem is gone.
If symptoms occur again, then remind yourself of the feeling of being covered in that sick brown stuff and how your stomach felt and how your teeth hurt. Memories last forever. If it doesn't work, Don't repeat. You probably already got a immunity to gorging choclate and your illiness mre serious than described.

Considering your pregnancy, just set a limit and try to eat below that. Chocolate's good but too much means youll have a lot of excerise to do after.

when you crave chocolate, mix yourself some chocolate milk. then it fills you up, you get the calcium and the chocolate flavor kills the craving. i still do that now, after pregnancy, to make sure i don't eat too many chocolate bars!

Just eat a small amount of dark chocolate. That should help. Also, brush your teeth more frequently. That will make sweet things taste bitter.

You know, you just have to STOP eating it so the addiction will go away. I used to crave chips everyday and I go crazy if I don't eat it daily.. but then I forced myself to stop eating it and I don't crave it anymore. You CAN do it.. you just dont want to (and i understand how hard it is to not eat what you crave). :) good luck !
