report it immediately and get a new one. you can do this by going to the social security office. It is important you do this because someone can use your ss number and this can affect you in many ways. It can affect your credit, your retirement..So do not delay and report it.

u need to apply for another social security card by calling ur nearest social security office and they will help u with that

Call your local social security office (look in the blue pages of the phone book). They'll have you come down there, show another form of ID, fill out a form, and they'll mail you a new one in about 10 days.

go down to the office and get a new one... be prepared to wait in lines if you are in Texas!!! Also, visit the Social Security web site and make sure you take all of the required documents with you...
