this guy keeps calling me and asking me all these stupid questions like do you do weed, drugs, do you have a myspace? the funny thing is that when i answer he asks for shannon and when i say this isn't shannon he doesn't hang up, he just keeps asking me question. this one time he even said, "i have something for you in a box", and then all of a sudden his friends in the backround started laughing. i hung up. i don't know what to do. he called me twice now, both times asking for a bloody shannon. help me!

Answer the phone: "FBI, how may I help you?" or if you are in the UK "Criminal Investigation Department." Don't forget to put on an "official" voice.

Hang up, call the phone company. If he's got friends laughing in the background it's just a bunch of infantile idiots looking to get a rise out of someone. Most likely harmless. I'd prolly just play along if it were me, but I'm kinda odd that way.

Try to trace the call with *69. If that does not work, keep a log of what time the calls came in and then report it to either your phone company or the police for further investigation.

Since you used the term "bloody shannon" perhaps you are in the U.K.
Contact the constable in your area and show your phone records. This person is obviously harrassing you.

Tell him if he keeps calling, you will call the police and have him arrested. He'll probably laugh; let him. If you have caller ID, get his number and look it up on www.anywho.com. That way, when you call the police, you can tell them where he lives and who he is. Then you'll see who has the last laugh.

You need stronger boundaries. Never take calls from strangers. Block his number and report him to the telephone company.

Change your phone number or ( before that) put a caller ID where you can see the phone number and report that to the cops.

try and get his number or record the calls... if it gets out of line or keeps being so persistent... go to the police with the recordings and time of when they happened.... try and get that number and a name from the guy.
