I got scratched on the cheek by a cat about 3 years ago. The cut was about 5-6 inches long. It was never infected and it healed quickly. Unfortunately, I still have a scar from it. It's very light, but still evident. Maderma works to soften scars, but doesn't take it away completely.

A little cocoa butter or cocoa butter lotion works wonders on scars. You have to put it on every day, sometimes twice a day, after a bath or shower. It will heal on its own, and you still might have a slight scar, but a little makeup will hide it if you're self-conscious about it.
