i have a VERY irregular cycle (like 2 times a year!!!) so i recently started birth control to regulate my cycles....next weeks is suppose to be my cycle week but i have been spot bleeding since wednesday! my roomies say don't worry but i need more clarification....i haven't been having sex so is there an explanation for this?

If you just started taking the pill, you are likely having breakthrough bleeding. This is common while your body adjusts to the pill. It generally stops after you have been on the pill for 3 months. If it persists beyond that, they may change the type of pill that you are on.

spot bleeding is common whilst on the pill if you are not on the right pill for you.....if it continues i would go back to the doctors and they can probably put you on a stronger pill that will eliminate the spotting.....

our bodies have a mind of there own! I wouldn't worry just make sure you took a pill everyday...you know that could affect it!

Read the literature that came w/ your pills...Spotting is normal
