People don't take me seriously. Every time I try to be serious they laugh. I guess they think i'm too funny.

What should I do.

May be people mistake your basic questions for being sarcastic and also some people think that some basic questions people should know either way do not worry about them just ask your questions there always someone is willing to answer and help you.
