well i think I am kinda there right now. My husband and I are best friends, we do everything together that I would do with my closest friend, we know everything about each other. However, I do not feel I am in love with him romanticly. We have been married for 11 years. I am scared to leave him, cause i am scared of loosing my best friend. We don't make love, it is more like releasing built up preasure, we don't cuddle, or anything romantic. It is all friendship stuff.
So yeh I think it can stick, but I think there will always be a void of some sort in you, because you are lacking the love, at least I feel like I am missing something.
Good Luck

Here's a more important question; why would anybody want to? love makes the world go around, right?? God, for me , staying in a relationship without love would be horrible!!! I was there, too! I was soooo unhappy! It isn't worth it!! Trust me! Plus, isn't that the whole reason why people get together in the first place? Because you love them and can't live without them, right? What else is left? Love is the glue that holds a relationship together! Without it, it'll all fall apart....

It can be successful, if by success you mean staying together and building a life together. You can do that with respect and consideration. However, without love, you are missing a big part of life. What if you fall in love with someone else? What about children? The biggest gift parents can give children is to show them how much they love each other.

No. Marriage is built first on the love shared between two people. Why would you want to spend your life w/ someone you didn't love? Yeah, it's easier than finding someone else to split the mortgage, but how happy can you possibly be?

I take care of lots of old people who've been married 50, 60 years. I've asked them how they did it and every single one of them has told me that they went through some really hard times but they're really glad they did it. I was with a 73-year-old woman who died the other day with her husband's hand on her shoulder. They'd been married over 50 years and certainly went through lots of times when they didn't feel "in love" - but it was certainly worth it for her to have somebody who'd be with her through thick and thin, 'til death did they part.
On the other hand, my husband burps or farts and I think I ought to leave him. Now that divorces are easy, we're losing out.

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

keep something in mind... loves is what makes you care about this other person... without love... it will be just a real nice friendship... but you'll never be completely happy...
Of course if you put a little bit of yourself into it... you can try to love him... appreciate what he does for you.... and maybe if you like him and care about him,.. you can love him..
It all depends on you... if you really going to try to love him... otherwise... you are just loosing your time and a good friend
