Well, I agree that Rice was the best WR ever, but there are many other who can, indeed, be considered for that title. Cris Carter, Andre Reed, Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, Art Monk, and maybe even Terrell Owens. Here are the receivers stas and Jerry's for anyone who wants to compare and contrast.

it took Jerry Rice longer to break record. Steve Largent broke record in less time then any other receiver. Just think what it would of been like if Steve Largent was playing as long as Jerry Rice did.
But I do have to say this that Rice is a great receiver

Jerry Rice is among the best. Having the biggest numbers; however, does not mean he was the best. Differences in rules and style of offenses also have to be considered. Lance Alworth for one was better.

There have been many other great receivers. But I don't have a problem with Rice being called the greatest. He was incredible. His numbers were incredible.
He wasn't the fastest, but he was the best!

He didn't act very professional when he ended his career with the Broncos. He was greedy and stole a roster spot from someone who deserved it.
