Time for Muslims to come lower back to a determination what it fairly is they actually beleive in and quit driving the fence. Don’t you notice the irony in Muslims being waiting to desecrate a Christian Temple in Jerusalem via spreading feces on pictures of Christ? yet a Christian chief (the Pope) can’t remind human beings of what 14th century Byzantine emperor Manuel Paleolous II suggested with regard to the earnings Mohammad quite a few hundred years in the past. It wasn’t even the Popes very own words or theory. He grew to become into repeating what Paleolous II supposedly suggested. . What’s with the hypersensitive reaction besides? The Muslims can dance interior the streets; shout and yell; develop their fists all they want to yet i don't think the Pope owes Muslims an apology for something. some have contended the terrorists are a sort of radical Islam and a small minority of the religion. they are asserting the vast majority of Muslims are a non violent human beings. i'm commencing up to ask your self approximately those claims as quickly as I see the suggested tens of millions interior the streets protesting what the Pope repeated. 2 confronted or what? Is Islam a non violent faith or a violence based faith? via what i'm seeing and listening to, i could would desire to end the latter.

Have you heard about the Crusades? The Inquisition? How about more recently in Bosnia? Christians are not the angels all would like to believe. . .
Christians have by far shed much more blood than Muslims, and Muslims have been around for quite a long time. We sit here in our warm homes, typing on our computers, passing judgement on a religion that is no worse than our own.
Have you seen the "hit list" for doctors that perform abortions? Christians have that list, and are carrying out the "hits".
Have you heard about the people protesting at the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq? Yep - Chirstians again.
How about those bombings of clinics where abortions are performed? Right again - the Christians are responsible.
And the genocide that happened in Bosnia? Christians killing those that were not. Hmmmm. . .
Doesn't make me too proud to be a Christian, either. I think that before we go condeming the Muslims for what they are doing, we need to stop Christians from doing what they are doing against humanity.
So maybe if the Pope made the comments, and then followed it up with "I know that it may look like I am condeming Muslims, but I'm not. We Christians haven't done better over the centuries. We've just spent more on our "temples"."

don't confuse the religion with the people. The religion is what is found in the Quran and Sunnah texts. The people are called Muslims and some are more observant than others.
So please stop and think before saying that any part of Islam itself is evil. That will cause all kinds of retribution. Speaking about the bad deeds of Muslims is a whole different matter. Don't ever blame the religion. That would be just like blaming christianity, the religion, for the actions of people like the kkk and all the innocent adults and children they burned down in their churches and homes. Sure, they call themselves christians, but nothing in the bible justifies what they did, but they sure think it does!

I would be angry because this means the church is being biased towards another religion. If you agree with the church then fine, but you need to realize that doing the research about this issue would be great and then reason for yourself whether it is truly evil or a different way of thinking. Don't ever follow the church blindly. The pope isn't infallible. Never make that judgment so if he says something don't immediately agree with it and try to see other people's point of view if they are angry withthe church. I grew up catholic but I now see that there are many holes in this religion and am open to many others. I have studied others because this sect has caused many conflicts between what I believe is right and I just wish the church wouldn't always see this in a negative view but opened themselves up to other ideas. We have no way of proving whether one religion is absolutely right so don't just believe this one is right. Now, about Muslims killing Christians in retribution, humans make mistakes and when angered don't often see things correctly and therefore think that doing something to correct it is okay even if it means killing someone. Humans are infallible. We make mistakes. If you wish to see that muslims killing christians confirms the pope's view than that is your point of view but be careful to get all the information on both sides before deciding one or the other on which is correct. Just because you don't agree with another religion's view does not mean that it is evil. You just don't agree with it. Take this into account and try to do some background research into what the pope considers evil and maybe you will find that it really is just a different perspective of our God. Never believe one religion is absolutely correct and you will find many people more willing to accept your reasoning. Evil is also a human made word. Its definition came about to describe something in which they feel isn't right. It is also a strong word. If you do some history into paganism and the catholic church along with other religions you will find that the catholic church actually changed the views of people by manipulation. If some of the parts of Islam are evil than don't you think manipulation of a peoples is evil too? You will find that first off many ceremonies and festivals come from other religions that the church now considers to be evil. Do some research and see what comes up.

He didn't. He said that some 15th centurary priest said that. . . a big difference, I think. And there has been no solid proof that the christians killed after that statement were killed in retaliation - most were in war-torn or unstable areas, where many people are killed daily, and so it wouldn't have even been noticed if the Pope hadn't made that speech.

Okay, hold it. First of all, Islam is not bad. There are people who follow it that are bad, but it's not because of the religion. You don't understand. A religion- be it Islam, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, whatever- is far greater than a person. A person TRIES to follow a religion, but mistakes can happen. If you want to say Christians or someone is all good, check out the Crusades, mate. The pope mentioned that too. I know you didn't explicitly state that, but you might be thinking it. Also, the people who are being violent- Islam, right now, is just as much politics as religion, sadly. If you want to say politics are partially evil, well I'm with you. Just try and understand that Islam, its followers, and its political agenda are completely different.
Sorry if that was convoluted, hope it helps.

So what? The bible says the world was created in 7 days and people still believe in Christianity. Islam is based off of Christianity and Judiasm, and Christianity and Islanare both violent in their own right.

Ever heard of the now infamous quote by Marx:
" Religion is the opiate of the people". Now imagine peeing on the opium of a drug addict. What do expect??? The drug addict (religious fanatic) would probably bash your head in. And therein lies the problem: Organized Religion and its irrational dogma is the source of all evils. No matter what the religion is, the simple fact that it is irrational and plays on people's fears of heaven and hell, and revelation and all that nonsense... make it one of the worst things invented by man.

lol! (*this isnt funny* :( )
because that was a STUPID thing to say!!!
SEE WHAT HAPPENED in retribution!
It does seem to prove his point.... its sad... but how could he not have seen something like this comming.... maybe he was naieve.... but the term "extremeist" doesnt exist for no reason.... remember the cartoons??
it seemed kind of rude to say that in the first place too... quote or no quote. Not saying what the muslims did was right...
but how wasnt that a stupid thing to say? especially given the way things are going lately???
also can no parts of christianity and its past seem evil??? he kind of came across as a bit hypocritcal and that probably pissed the extrememists off more and doing that thing he was criticizing seemed ironically somehow rational. : /

Oh come on! Didn't the Christians have Timothy McVeigh ? Is it the Muslims fault that their religion is made up of about 90% McVeigh types? Surly the other 10% can't be judged on the behavior of the vast majority.
