He's a really talented singer. Isn't that all that should matter?

People are naturally curious about the private lives of any celebrity. If they weren't in the public eye, no one would even notice. Clay's talent brought him to the public's attention. Ergo, the need to know everything about him.
Clay said on Good Morning America this week that his private life is nobody's business. I agree with him.

People are curious about celebrities' personal lives. It has no bearing whatsoever on their talent; it is an invasion of their privacy.

People are interested for the same reason why they are interested in every is/has been celebraty; we are nosey people. We try to make ourselves feel better about our lives by looking at other people's failures. And, who is more accessible to the public than the rich and famous?

It's really none of anyone's business. As long as he does his job, then what's the difference? If he were straight, would anyone care or question it? Just the media and scandal-hungry Americans searching for the next brouhaha...

Yea, I don't know why people are so interested in if he's gay or not. Why does it matter if he is or not? I like him and always have, but I could care less if he's gay. I mean, it's not like I'll ever meet him so it doesn't matter one way or the other.

his sexual preference has no bearing on his talent, but people are curious because he won't say yea or nay about it. if he told people, then no one would care as much.
