I think the way you encourage teenagers is the key. if you are preaching to them, they are going to cut you out. if you go into the discussion with an open mind and your teenagers realizes that you will continue to love them whether they have sex or not, you have a better chance of convincing the teenager to wait. There is a lot of pressure on teenagers in this day and age, they need to know that you will continue to love them and stand ready to help them no matter what they decide. When you are trying to convince your child to wait, please, please, have the discussion on safe sex. The biggest fear I had was that my child would contact HIV. Thank goodness that never happened.

Yes, it does seem that way. Statistically, it seems as if teenagers are birthing children at earlier ages than before. So it must be an exercise in fertility.
