I'm a Journeyman Electrician from Detroit with a background in industrial, commercial, and residential electrical experience. When there's work in town it's the best job in the world. Period. The money is fantastic--especially with overtime, and if you can stay out of the on the job politics, show up everyday, and preferably work union, you'll love it as a career. Sure the work is physically demanding, you don't wanna be installing 100 lb. sticks of rigid pipe going into your fifties, but if your good at what you do--you'll be a boss pushing paper by then. I haven't worked at any one location for more than 9 months or any less than 40 employers in the last 15 years. Come this spring I'm gonna hit the road to work out of state in places like Utah, West Virginia, Cali, Vegas---I've worked on everything from the out-house to a powerhouse. Working in commercial buildings I've seen the office slugs, stuck in their cubicles, going to the same place everyday, dealing with the same bosses, competing with a bunch of suck asses, being in debt up their ying yangs for an education that could only get them a job making what I made as a last punch apprentice. If you want my bestest advice--I'd go for it in the electrical field specializing in fiber optics, solar energy, fire alarms, instrumentation---search it out on your computer--good luck pal.

You have to follow your own interests. What are you interested in? Don't just pick a career based on money because at the end you won't be happy. What classed did you do well in? What classed did you do poor in? You can slowly start to pin point what you're good at this way. Good luck.

Do not put all your focus on the money...don't do that...money doesn't equal success. Happiness and Comfort equals success. do what makes you happy. You are going to realize that money is certainly not everything. My parents wanted me to become a pharmacist, becuz of the money, but I want to be a nurse. I'm not thinking about money, its about happiness. Pursue what you think you will love and be content with. I hope you take this advice. Please really sit down and re-evaluate your career.

The first step is to learn how to use punctuation because you have no chance of sucessfully completing college without that skill.
