Planets most likely form as a by-product of star formation. So that means if no planets were created, then no stars were created, so there would be pretty much nothing in the universe.

If there weren't any planets then their wouldn't be anything no humans like us people, no cars, business. Everything would be empty. The universe would be the only place out there alone.
