To be quite honest I think Midway is a better airport then O'hare. Most people in the Chicagoland area love O'hare and make comments like it is International so it is better. I don't disagree with them when it comes to International flights O'hare is the winner. People seem to forget that Midway airports real name is Midway International Airport. Midway also has International flights. Midway is one of the busiest small airports in the world. Southwest Airlines makes midway one if its largest and most busy airports. Travel sites like expedia or Kayak show limited flights from Midway because they mostly show legacy airlines like United. Midway is mostly a low cost carrier airport.

O'Hare is our International airport and is not that far from the heart of the city. Where as Midway is right in the city and the Orange Line EL. train can take you to your hotel or right downtown. I used to live about 4 blocks from Midway airport. It is my favorite here.

I've flown into both about 10 times each and I can tell you that Midway is the best. It is smaller, the flights are almost always on time and it's easier to get to.

O'hare is busy and congested. I have NEVER had a flight leave O'hare on time and it is far outside the city and there are toll booths all the way there, so it takes twice as long to get to it, because you have to keep stopping to pay a toll.

Midway is your best option!!
