I work on a computer at work every day and wondered if it mattered if i get non glare on my lenses. I am not sure if it will make a difference or not. I have been told it will reduce the glare but they will also scratch faster too.

Don't get glasses with glare if you ever need them for driving. I drive with my glasses on, and I thought I would get away with the cheaper lenses. Every time I drive into lights at night, or in daylight with reflections, the light scatters and hurts my eyes. I wish I got the non-glare, and urge you to learn from my mistake.

I like contacts better because as a female, I think I look more beautiful with it. I can put on makeup, mascara, etc. and the whole face is seen. With glasses, your face is partially covered. Also, when your nose gets oily, glasses will keep sliding down and it is a pain to push them back up. When it is raining or snowing, it sucks to have glasses because it'll get foggy, you have to wipe them, etc. Also, glasses can sometimes leave red marks/indentations on the side of your nose. Sometimes when you wear your glasses too long, the sides of your ears gets painful. If you are in a fast moving place or high up in the air, or in a carnival ride, your glasses might fall down. If you are in a fight, and someone punches and breaks your glasses and you have REALLY bad eyesight, you are dead. Contacts - no problems with all that! Also supposedly glasses degrade your vision because of the space between your eyes and glasses. Contacts supposedly not since it is extremely close to your eyes. Contacts are the best! You can also change your eye color which is great.

I'm not sure what, non-glare, actually means. I do know that transition lenses, that darken when ultraviolet light waves hit them and return to clear lenses when inside, are probably the best thing for most people. Protecting your eyes from too much ultraviolet is a huge plus for your eyes, just as it is for your skin.

I have non-glare on my glasses. One time I tried not getting it - thinking I don't need it. I found I didn't like it -not having them when I was driving . I notice the non-glare really helps when I'm driving - esp. at night time. I would never go without them again.

of course it's worth it

when people look at you
your eyes look so much clearer
and when you get your pic taken
you don't have flash-eyes where your glasses are

plus,
the formula they use to coat the lenses
has improved over the one used several years ago
and it doesn't "wear" off
(which gives the "old" lenses a spotty look)

and, you can clean
your lenses with a piece of silk
--which is cheap enough
--and pretty cool to have in your pocket
'sides, squares of silk come in so many colors
that you can dress in jeans and a t-
and be styl'n just by having your square

The glare might get annoying after a while.

I think it is well worth it. I think they have worked on the formula so that they do not scratch so easily.

It won't do anything for that, the only thing it will do is drive you nuts as you have to use a special cloth to clean it.....I hated it!
