Before my husband I was in an aubsive relationhip, and to get out I secrelty looked for a place to move out, and I left.....NOW, with my husband (who has a bad tmeper/anger problem) we keep having our ups and downs and I feel like he's not connected with me at times and the other day while I was just looking through the paper he asked me if I was planning to move out. He told me that it was a JOKE and he was being sarcastic. What kind of husband asks that of his wife as a joke? A friend of mine said that my husband doesn't feel the realtionship will last that long and is feeling his way around.....what do you think? This is not the first time he has asked me this, what is he getting at? I don't think its a joke as he says.

Some men are self-concious. He may feel that you are leaving and that is his way to deal with it. Being sarcastic is a sign of weakness. Have ya'll sat down and had a serious discussion? Did he tell your friend this? Or is that just the vibe she's getting from him?

You don't joke on someone you love at their emotional expense like that.

I mean,it probably really is a joke, but you need to
become more verbal about what is acceptable to you and what isn't in this relationship.

It's called boundaries.Healthy realationships don't
antagonize each other emotionally. That is crossing a boundary.

Get to the marriage counselor.Don't assume you both know
what each other is thinking. That is bad communication.

Good luck

It seems like he's incredibly insensitive to your situation and maybe doesn't really comprehend what you had to go thru before. I'd sit him down and explain everything...your feelings now...how rotten it was before...everything. I mean, he's your husband, he should be the one person in the world to get you.

Your husband sounds a bit insecure; reassure him that your with him for good and tell him everyday at least twice..how much you love him!!

Don't worry about him.

What do you think? What do YOU want?

Figure out where YOUR head is, and follow that.
