No way! The colour of blood is RED! It is true that oxygenated blood in bright red and deoxygenated blood is a darker red. If u went into outer space without oxygen, you would die before u could even get the knife to cut yourself with. That's why u have to wear space suits when going out of space, otherwise u will DIE a most horrible death.
Remember space is a vacuum. If u went out of space without a suit, diffusion would occur and the air from inside your body would leave from inside of you and try to come out. It would be a horrible sight.

I have no idea but it has been proven that "grass" without oxygen does turn turn purple or something, know also withen saying that and asking mum which got me thinking, yes it must be true. Look on the net on blue babies or something like that, I used to know someone born with a hole in his heart and now unsure if he is still alive but was in the paper a year ago that there was a treatment out there for him to fix it under the knife but in Australia not New Zealand, last time i heard anything about him was when he was at the age of 21 and that was 4 years ago when his parents had been told when 1st born,he would be dead by the age of 2-9 but he past that but always had blue lips,so he always got called blue boy.so what you get from my statement is up to you on whether to decide on if it is true or not,but do try looking for blue babies on the net and that should give you the answer on whether the blood does turn blue or maybe the colour is from our skin makes it look blue.

no. there are two types of blood in your body, a darker, deep blue tinted blood (its still very red though) called oxygenated blood, and a bright red blood called oxygenated blood.
basically, blood gets pumped around the body by the heart. when it passes the lungs, it picks up the oxygen and this turns the blood bright red, and it is taken around our body by arteries. The body uses up the oxygen in the blood turning it a darker colour. This blood gets pumped back through veins to the lungs where it absorbs oxygen and starts the whole process again.
(this is a very simplified explanation)

Blood is not blue. This belief comes from the fact that your veins look blue through the skin, but that is because of differential absorption of light. Venous blood is actually dark red. Once it is oxygenated in the lungs and pumped out into the arterial system it is bright red.

Your friend may be "True Blue" but your blood is definitely "Blood Red". And if you were in true space with no life support system ( air and a pressure suit ), you wouldn't have to worry about cutting yourself because you would have exploded into nothingness.

No--the cycle of oxygen is within your body. Regardless of whether you're in space or not, you'd still bleed red because you're still breathing oxygen in your spaceship. Now if you were outside of your spaceship w/ no spacesuit you'd be dead so the color of your blood wouldn't matter.

oxygen depleted blood is blueor darker red hence veins being blue...oxygen rich blood is red, very red hence arteries are a maroon color. it is not the blue you are thinking,,
the blue is what causes people to turn blue when they cant breathe

It is not exaclty blue, but it is such a dull red that it appears purplish. And yes, it will be like that in space.
