Since there was never a war, we should just go home and quit occupying an unwilling country.

If we pulled out of Iraq now, it would be a victory for the insurgents and a tragedy for the people of Iraq. It might have been a mistake to go in there in the first place, but, now that we're there, we need to finish the job and not abandon the people of Iraq.

SUre pullout now and show the Islamic fanatic terrorists that the USA is really a paper tiger after all because we don't have the political will or the conviction to fulfill our promises to the Iraqi people. Let them think we are weak and divivded and they will only strike at us again. Don't you understand that is the way they think, if you don't do what you say you are going to do. Just look at Hizbollah they got Israel to withdraw without wiping the floor with all of the Hizbollah fighters and now they are holding victory rallies and bragging about how they now have 20,00 rockets and no army even the new fortified UN force will be able to take their weapons away from them. Arabic people like Hizbollah and Hams only respond well to overpowering force. Have you ever heard the phrase Hama Rules/ If not you should see how Syria deals with the Palestinians.

War is uncivilised.
All wars should be ended, whether they are illegal or not.
Of course you speak of the Iraq war which is illegal.
Problem is that the neocons want to start another one, this time with Iran.

unfourtunatly, now that bush has started the war, if we end it now then we'll be screwed, iraq will get us later because we decided to go there, they might decide to come here. maybe if we waited like 2-3 months to start the war, then we would have had more countries with us, because a few countries were about to come on our side, but then we started the war before they could join us, now all theese people are being shiped off to war wether they really are pro or con war.

The Iraq conflict could have ended the day Obama took workplace. in fact, it could have ended long earlier Obama took workplace. in fact, it is going to on no account have been began. The conflict in Afghanistan, on the different hand, grew to become right into a legitmate conflict with a valid purpose. That purpose grew to become into to kill bin weighted down and that passed off very almost a 365 days in the past. The adults in fee have now began winding down that conflict. it is going to end quickly adequate. BTW, Obama's no longer even 0.5 way via along with his Presidency.

We are not going to win this war no matter how long we fight.

We will run out of children to send over there to get maimed and to die.

Since I believe we never should have gone there like we did in the first place I definitely think we should stop now.

Well, we can't just leave, after all, we're the ones who put them in that position. (I wasn't in favor of going in the first place, by the way.) What we need to do is come up with concrete benchmarks and an actual timeline to get things done, instead of this open-ended commitment that will never end. This IS turning into another Vietnam. Possibly worse.

NCJ08: When you say clean house, do you mean kill everybody in the country? Because if you want to get rid of every Iraqi that hates the USA, that maybe what you will have to do.
