It's now been a few years since novelist Irvine Welsh released the sequel to his legendary book Trainspotting. Titled Porno, the story finds the characters from the original novel ten years down the road taking a stab at the porn industry. Not long after the book's release, or perhaps even before, it was announced that there would also soon be a film sequel to Danny Boyle and John Hodges's almost equally legendary film. The sequel would be called Renton.

Yes. Porno was good. Sick boy was the central character in that one. But he still got screwed over by Renton. Again. Spud made an appearance and Begbie was the same piece of evil trash as before. You should also read Glue. That one traces the lives of some other people living in the housing estates, from the early seventies to the present. Renton and Begbie make brief appearances. I hate Begbie. His malevolence is only matched by his utter stupidity and his complete lack of class.

forget trainspotting...mediocre at best. Read Filth by Irvine Welsh...friggin' brilliant!!

I wish...let me know if you find out, because that movie was GREAT!!! Took me a few times of watching it to figure out all they were saying, because of the thick accents...but what an anti drug movie that was, huh?
