Abortion should remain an option for a woman and her conscience. With input from her doctor. A) We are not omniscient, and can't always know what constitutes "life." Certainly, life that is not viable-able to live by itself outside the womb-gives us reason to question how to define life. No one should ever take abortion lightly. Viable life should not be taken. But we all have different lives to live, different ideas on religion, morality, and different wherewith all available to us. And for the woman, it is HER body, after all. Abortion is a fact. Keep it legal, don't ruin two lives because of a personal belief. And as for you wrestling with these concepts, asking these questions, only you can answer them...for yourself alone.

Well, without attempting to offend anyone, I will offer my own thoughts on this topic. I personally feel abortion is immoral and illegal. As a man, who am I to judge what a woman does to her body? Hmm, not to be sarcastic, is it illegal for a woman to inject herself with a hypodermic needle filled with a controlled substance? Yes. Is it illegal for a woman to attempt to kill herself? Yes, and if you don't think so, then why do police officers place someone under arrest after said attempts. With those two examples, I feel abortion falls into the same realm as a woman attempting to do something to herself and it being illegal. On the other hand, it is legal for a woman to get tattoos, piercings, etc.
Let me reiterate, though, who am I to judge? As for the Bible, I can't say that there is a specific passage stating the Lord's stance. I just believe and feel that it is wrong.
For those who say it is right, what if your mother had an abortion? Then, not to be an *** or hateful, you wouldn't have been born. By not being born, you wouldn't even have to worry about this.
As for teenagers, I think under the age of 18, right or wrong, they are still their parents responsibility. The parents should at least be notified prior to the procedure taking place. Since you can't get your ears pierced if your under 18 without parental consent, then why should you be permitted to have an abortion w/o their consent? What happens if a teen gets an abortion and develops a disease, complication or worse, dies?
Obviously in almost every rape situation, the father wouldn't give two sh*ts, but in any other "normal" case of sexual intercourse, the father should have some say, since he was one half of the equation to create the solution.
For those who contemplate abortion because they just don't want a child, there are plausible alternatives. Many people from around the globe are, barring a divine miracle, physically unable to produce any offspring. Yearning to have a family, they wait months, years, sometimes even most of their adult lives to have children. These people would be more than happy to take the child that some just don't want, because it appears to be an inconvenience.
As I previously stated, I feel that abortion is illegal and immoral. However, I do not feel that the U.S. nor any other government should say anything else about it. The reason why I say this is if your parents tell you not to do something, you most likely do it anyways. Right? Point made.

Right choice for some people, wrong choice for others. It all depends on the woman's personal circumstances.
Is it even a life? Depends on what you believe, but some would say since that it can't survive outside the woman, relies on her body for its nutrition, adapts the environment to its needs, etc., it's a parasite. And other lives that already exist have to be considered as well. If having another child will stretch the family resources to the point that they're no longer able to pay for groceries and rent, well, is being homeless with an infant a better situation than having a safe operation or taking a few pills?
Again, right choice for some, wrong for others. But I don't think parental involvement should be required--it's not their body, it's not their life, it's not their choice to make.
Ideally the "father" would have input in the woman's decision, but in some cases that's simply not possible (e.g., domestic abuse, etc.). Again, not his body, not his life, not his choice.
Depends on your religion. When it comes down to it, do you believe that your deity will forgive you for the choice and, if not, does that matter enough to you to stop you from making the decision?
Again, it's a choice. If a woman wants to be able to have an abortion after rape, etc., then she should be free to do so. But it's her choice, and a choice she has to make on her own.

asking too many questions but here are my answers:
abortion, right or wrong?? Depends on your beliefs. Most all religions condemn abortions.
is it right for a life to be killed before it is even born? See my first answer
is it right for teenagers to have the choice of abortion? Teenagers should have the right to buy clothes and video games but they shouldn't have any rights until they are 18
should the father have any rights? Of course. They can be made to go to court to pay child support so they should have rights
is abortion religiously wrong? Yes for most all religions
is it advicable in certain situations, including rape etc? religions say rape victims can give the baby up for adoption.

Abortion is a really tough decision. Any woman who chooses to have an abortion should be aware of all of her choices, and make an informed decision. If the father is available, he should be consulted, also knowing the consequences of the decision. Abortion should not be used just as birth control. However, women do and should have the right to control their body. There are some religious people who feel that abortion violates their religious beliefs, in which case they should not have one. Their religious beliefs do not, and should not give them the right to control someone Else's body.

I think rather than abortion being advisable in certain circumstances, its definately an individual decision for each person. No-one should have the right to govern other peoples lives and forcing someone to have a baby they dont want isn't fair on the person or the baby. Abortion isn't right, but it isn't wrong either. People who say it is wrong often think it is the easy way out, but abortion is never the easy way out. Women and girls who have abortions have to live with that decision for the rest of their lives. It is right that teenagers have the option of abortion, because if they didn't they would just find some other means of having it carried out. While its difficult to say whether the father should have rights, really it has to be the expecting mothers decision as she is the person who has to live with the consequences of the decision, no matter what she decides. Religiously it can obviously be argued that abortion is wrong, but its because of the church that such stigma is attached to unwed mothers, almost as if they say you're a sinner if you don't have the child, but then you're still a sinner if your child is born out of wedlock. Im not pro abortion, but im not against it either...its everybodies right to choose and people who are against it should realise no-one is forcing abortion down their throats, but anti-abortion demonstrations outside abortion clinics, are just adding stress to an already stressful time. Unless they can be impartial, everybody should really just mind their own business and keep their opinions to themselves when it comes to issues like this one.

well in the case of rape a woman should give the baby up for adoption if she choose to. as far as the fathers having rights to an extent cause some may not want the child and want the woman to have an abortion..its not right for a life to be taken by nobody...

Right in some situations, wrong as a means of birth control. It should be legal, though. I wonder if John S above would feel the about rape if HE were ever brutally raped. Men have no right to even have an opinion about abortion. It is something they will NEVER have to go through.

I think it depends on the person and the situation... under 95% of circumstances I would say its wrong... but there are some situations where it would be a very hard choice but may be right for the mother and baby
