I swear, my best friend just told me about this. She drank castor oil 2 weeks before she was scheduled to deliver and 1st she had the runs, then she went into labor. She did end up having a cesarean though. I think for some people it works, and for some it doesn't. It worked for her, though.

My mother did it when she was pregnant with me and she said it did nothing but make her deathly sick and made her go to the bathroom nonstop. A friend of mine did it and it didn't make her go into labor either. I went over 2 weeks and decided to go play golf with someone so I could ride in the cart on the bumpy pathways. It was rough but that did nothing but make me hurt really bad. I believe when it's ready it will happen. You must think about whether or not it will cause stress on the baby when you decide to do something like that. Good Luck and Congrats!

yes i did because my mother said too because my soon was past due, at first i just had a lot of cramps like gas, then my they got a little hard after i went to the restroom first i thought it only gave me diarreha but no it started my labor and 4 hours later he was in this world kicking and screaming, was the most easiest labor i had and i gave birth 4 times before

i was 2 weeks past due date did it and went in to labor that same day but spent most of day pooing first and not sure if it was the castor oil or just went into labor

I tried it too and it didn't work for me either. But, I bet your bowls are clean!
Have sex, you need to have an orgasm otherwise it is pointless. An orgasm is the BEST way to go into labor.
Also, tell your midwife or Dr. that you did that. I got induced because they realized how desperate I was. I DO NOT recommend induction though, its horrible.

eat some raisins or prunes this is more natural and will work with in a couple of hours drink water with them and stew the prunes for really fast working

i tried it over 40 years ago listening to my mother.i did go in labor,but i was never sure if that was the reason. i was very young and just did what my mom said.
