Boracay is the most commercial, rip-off, full of hassles place in the philippines, malapascua will be the same in 1 year ( but i hope not). GO TO NORTHERN PALAWAN where all the people are locals, the tiny islands are stunning and you will never ( for the next few years at least) be asked for money by kids or have to listen to ' YOU BUY- T-SHIRT, SHORTS, BOAT TRIP, PEARLS, ROLEX, etc etc etc. it really is the last place in this country which is genuinely great.

I have been to those places- I would still say Boracay Island is better to spend days to relax than Malapascua. Malapascua is cool when you want to go diving and spend a day .. but you get more in Boracay night and day. Cool place to hang out.

Malapascua Island is best for scuba diving if ur an scuba diving enthusiast.. Boracay is best for all, wether u just want to swim, snorkel, or island hopping and party all night long, or just relax under the soft powdery sand.. good luck on ur choice :-)

If you want to relax, go to Malapascua. But if you want to party, go to Boracay!
