what happens if you replace the original tires with biger a bigger tire?

I have a light truck (2001 nissa frontier) the original tire is a P255/65R16, but I will be putting a P255/70R16 size tire. That isnt much of a difference but will it do anything to the handeling or something on the vehicle

that much wont hurt anything at all on it,,i own a repair shop,,and no more size change than that wont even throw your speedometer off any,,if you had went a lot bigger it would have thrown your speedometer off a little but your fine with those,,we change a lot of them here at the shop,,and a little bigger tire actually will help your gas mileage out some, i changed mine to one size bigger and it helped ot a lot,good luck,i hope this help,s

For a tire size increase that small... you should be OK. What you want to look for is tire rubbing under full steering lock and wheel travel. If you want to go a lot bigger, you will have to get the computer re-programed so that it can change your speedo, tranny shifting, ABS, etc...

I have gone +1 size on my old Jimmy with no problems. My new vehicle is more like +10'ish size.

The odometer will definitely be off. You will register less miles than you actually traveled.

The speedometer will be off too. You will be traveling faster than it says.

Other than that, it should be okay... It may not handle quite as well since your center of gravity is now higher.

I did that to my F-150....you'll feel a little difference in the feel of driving, but you'll get used to it in just a few days. That's not really a big tire difference so it won't affect stability to any degree that you'll notice.

Might throw off your speedometer reading only, everything else is ok.

as LONG as u are replacing ALL the tires to that size you wont really have much to worry about.
