When a guy approaches me and introduces himself and gives me a compliment, I think it is sweet. When a guy tries whistling at me and yelling comments, it gets really annoying. It especially irritates me when they are doing this from their car. Do they think that we are just gonna go up to their car and try to flirt back?

I absolutely hate it.For one ,I'm not dressed in any way that says to a guy I crave attention, half of the time I'm in office apparel, two I am Not a dog.And what am I suppose to do?Turn around with a smile?!!It's so disrespectful and I wish these guys would picture their sisters or moms being whistled at.I try to walk with my head held high even after the dumb remarks and whistles and because I show no Interest guys will then say "stuck-up".I much rather them think I'm stuck up so they leave me alone rather than have them think I'm easy or a trashy. It takes a lot more to impress me-I hate to be mean but guys like that have no good intentions.A nice guy will make the effort to come up to you and introduce himself in a curteous way.I don't like the guys that come up to you and start the conversation off with"say!say baby come here" while they try to hug you

It all depends on who is doing the whistling, if he is nasty, dirty, no front teeth, and looks like he may be 30 years older than me(I am 30) then no but if he is a hotty and looks clean then maybe that could be different. Never had a hotty whistle at me only the nasty ones.

I'm a guy, and I think whistleing at a girl just automatically places a guy in the LOSER bin, if you know what I mean. Its so stupid. How many guys have you seen that whistle at a good looking girl get a positive response out of it? Ummm, None.
I'm a good looking guy, and I KNOW that whistleing at a woman will not increase my chance of me getting to know that woman. I use my brain.

I try to tell myself it is a compliment. And if I respond it is usually a flirty type thing. But there are times when inside I am pretty annoyed.

My friends and I walked from her house to a resturaunt and counted how many whistles, hollers and honks we got. We counted nine, which is kinda big considering she lives right around the block from the resturaunt. lol

yes I do get annoyed. Most of their comments are perverted. If they just give me the look and smile that always makes me feel good cause then you know they like what they see,but you don't have to hear anything that's gonna make you feel trashey.

I say enjoy all the positive reinforcement you can get. They wouldn't be whistling at their grandmas!

It depends on my mood...If I am dressed to kill and out for a good time, it boosts my ego.
But if I am in jeans a t-shirt and no make up, on a bad day, I feel like saying "F off...you're just checking out my big boobs".
