Canadian astronaut Roberta Bondar was one of the first Canadian astronuats and became the first Canadian woman in space in 1992.
Chris Hadfield, a farm boy from southern Ontario who became the first Canadian to walk in space.
Bob Thirsk was in the Family Medicine residency program at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Montreal when he was selected to be one of the original six Canadian astronauts in 1983.

the only astronaut that I know of is Steve Maclean, who just came down to earth yesterday, after a 12 day mission aboard Space Shuttle Atlantis.. then again Chris Hadfield has done it too
