I have been having this off and on since June, and been to the doctors twice. They want to do an MRI but I always have to wait months to get into see the doctor. I also have some back pain in the spinal area once in awhile depending on what I am doing. The doctor thought it may be some discs fused together , or MS. And I can't get into do an MRI until next month since I am trying to have a baby. Thanks for your answers in advance.

Also the first time I went in they thought it could be a pinched nerve, but the regular x-ray showed nothing.

I have woke up about 3 times in the past since this has happened with my lower right arm slightly numb, and my toungue and part of my lips numb. But it would be ok after about 30 minutes.

I think it is very important that you go see a qualified neurologist. Don't waste time with a general practitioner because it sounds like something that will end up needing a referral to a specialist anyway....at least where I come from, we have excellent family doctors, but the specialists are they route to go with something that is difficult to diagnose

Sounds like sciatic nerve trouble. If the pinching is just slight/starting to happen, it might not show up on the tests.
If you are trying to have a baby, you can't really do much about it now, but after you give birth, there are quite a few effective medications (steroidal in nature, mostly) and B-12 shots that can help. My friend recently went through the same thing. The medicines helped a lot. They have side effects, but for her, the benefits outweighed the drawbacks.
