Is there any way to repair the hair on dolls like barbies, my little ponies and others? The ends are frizzy and tangled from normal play. We tried to brush them out and even wet them a little but that just didn't work. Washing and conditioning the hair only made it heavy, greasy feeling and stringy.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you really want to wash it, use a regular soap, like dish detergent. The fake doll hair will at least not be greasy because of it. then, let it dry a few minutes, then brush it out with a comb.

I just washed the hair without conditioner. The dried it with a hair dryer. It didn't completely mend the hair but made it easier to deal with. After that we plaited all their hair. that was with the my little pony.
With the Barbie I stuck in the watching machine and the hair came out soft and it had a better affect than the pony hair in the end.

i always just cut the "bad" hairs, cause it is usually just the ends. after the frizzy tangled ends are gone the hair is like brand new!! sure, it's a little shorter, but it's more fun to play with than the frayed tangly hair.
