I'm not talking about eating meat, wearing fur or pulling the wings off flies. I'm talking about people who do really sick, twisted, bloody things that can get them arrested. The kind of stuff that disturbed kids do to pets that indicate that they'll be serial killers later in life. Your thoughts?

Well I had a friend who engaged in this sort of behavior with some of his adopted cats in the past. I had known him forever and he generally wasn't that maladjusted except when it came to this. I let him know that perhaps cats aren't for him and made SURE he didn't get any more. I guess the moral here is yes these people can be very sick, but its not always that apparent. And sadly enough he wasn't a kid when he engaged in this sort of behavior & I think the only reason I found out about these actions was because of our strong friendship. I think he is a changed person now though.

I recoil in disgust when I hear of such animal abuse. In our often warped society, you hear and see daily reports of atrocities of human to human abuse, but I must confess that human to animal abuse makes me sick to my stomach and enraged. I have reported such abuse several times...once I confronted a man kicking his small dog not far my my house....I called the police and then exited my car to extend whatever help I could for that poor little dog. The man did not react like a Christian and began spewing obscenities at me while the dog cringed in terror. I mustered courage and yanked the leash from his hand and put the dog in my car as this beast tried to stop me just as the police arrived. It turned out that this monster had several outstanding warrants and was taken away...the dog was placed in a local shelter (I already had 5 dogs and 2 cats in my care and couldn't take in another) and I checked a few days later and the dear little dog had been adopted by a loving couple. I hope that awful man was jailed and has nightmares about the hurt he inflicted on such a helpless creature. I'm glad that it seems that shelters have a policy of screening applicants...there are plenty of kind folks out there who will provide a safe and loving environment for all of the abandoned dogs and cats. Bless them all!

comparable reason people abuse different people and inflict soreness on them. some people actual get excited feeling from inflicting soreness. distinction is we experience greater soreness. A fox being chased by using hounds has no concept of the soreness its approximately to go through. Its instinct, and in the adrenalin rush, it may be somewhat painless. people in fights have been stabbed, had limbs chopped off, and not in any respect felt a concern till the adrenalin died off. If we've been getting chased, we realize what loss of life is, we could concern the terror of loss of life, of never seeing kinfolk. i'm no longer asserting cruelty to animals isn't a v intense concern, its merely I opt to pay interest on cruelty to people.

I firmly believe that there is a particularly hot spot in Hell for those who torture animals, molest children, or harm the elderly.

Those are the three groups on this earth that can seldom protect themselves, and anyone who preys on them deserves a lot more than the justice system can -- or will -- ever dish out.

They're sick and should be prosecuted for animal cruelty. Most psychologists will tell you that mistreating animal is a clear indication of mental instability and future adverse involvement with people.

I have to say about this in three simple words: pathetic, sickening, and disgusting! Anybody who mistreats animals for fun ought to have some serious mental issues that needed immediate evaluation! Then a trip to jail would teach them a HARD lesson on doing something so despicable! They will ROT IN HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that they should be abused themselves. Then I would put them in a 6 by 6 cell for the rest of their life.

I would like to torture them the same way they did to the animal. I hate people who do that. I wont even let you in my house if you dont say hi and pet my dog

I can't stand to think about it. I got into an argument once at Home Depot because a man was mistreating his dog. If I see this happen I will risk my life to stop it.
