I agree he needs to leave. There is no reason to give the man a forum to vent his hatred. Having had experience in Venezuela, I know he is a greedy, self serving despot.

He should not be allowed to roam around the country period. Let him in as a leader of a foreign power to speak at the UN, but that's it. He has no business going out on the streets. Could you imagine if they had let Castro run around like that back in the late 50's? I don't think so.

Yes. Then you will never have to face the truth and will disappear into oblivion, like every previous super power with an incompetent in charge

"KOPPEL: Are you saying you have discovered evidence of an invasion plan against Venezuela or are you saying "if" you discovered a plan?
CHAVEZ (THROUGH TRANSLATOR):I'm telling you that I have evidence that there are plans to invade Venezuela. Furthermore, we have documentation: how many bombers to overfly Venezuela on the day of the invasion, how many trans-Atlantic carriers, how many aircraft carriers need to be sent to (inaudible) even during (inaudible).....
KOPPEL: If I may, Mr. President, you say you have documentation of this plan. Can I ask you now, on camera, will you make that documentation available to me?
CHAVEZ (THROUGH TRANSLATOR):I can send to you — I can't send it all, but I can make sure I can send part of it to you. I can send it to you.
KOPPEL: Please.
CHAVEZ (THROUGH TRANSLATOR):I can send you maps and everything, and you can show it to the United States citizens. What I can't tell you his how we got it, to protect the sources, how we got it through military intelligence."

"According to Mr. Taylhardat the 'evidence' sent to Ted Koppel, already in the public domain, pertains to information which can be accessed by any interested party. He concludes by saying that a) the information furnished to Ted Koppel by Venezuela's Information Minister is nothing but copies of public documents of an exercise that was part of a course given by Spain's Air Force military academy back in 2001; b) that Hugo Chavez lied to the American public by making false statements in Koppel's Nightline; and c) that Venezuelans and the world at large have been made believe by Hugo Chavez that a plan detailing a sinister conspiration against Venezuela existed, when in fact evidence to the contrary demonstrates that Plan Balboa is, quite simply, a military simulation exercise. Even the fake RESOLUCIÃN 1580 from the UN is included in the document entitled "1Operación Balboa" sent to Koppel. "

Chavez is a joke. Let him flap his fat lying mouth. The man is even more stupid then Bush. And that's saying something.
**interpreters_are_hot maybe YOU need to get a reality check. People have every right to dislike who they want, even if that person is your hero. Deal with it. People have every right to wish that Fat Mouth Chavez was tossed out on his azz. If someone was in your living room talking sh*t about you and yours wouldn't you want them the hell out of your home (even if a LITTLE of it was true)? No, of course not, because you're outside of your "comfortable and protected bubble" and YOU see the world for what it is.
If only everyone was as smart and capable as YOU. Please. *rolls eyes* **

He sounds like a run of the Mill Bureaucrat to me. Why don't you escort all the Washington Bureaucrats out who have manipulated our elected officials for so many years, first? Some things should start at home, ya know?

the poor fool doesn't even know that he is just digging himself a hole. He may have had some credibility with some people here, but the more he talks the more he is alienating some people here.
My dad used to say "Your mouth is your greatest enemy".

I will have to agree he needs to be gone. I may not like Bush at all but no one like that deserves to come onto our land and do and say such things.

Good Grief, is he still here?
Why can't the people of our country (and the world) see that he was elected by people in poverty, to whom he promised the world, and that he hasn't done anything good for them.
He's scary and he needs to leave.

You people really need a reality check, try to get out of your comfortable and protected bubble once in a while and really see what the world is. You're so clueless it's sad.
