I used to have sound and then I got a virus had to reinstall windows XP and now sound dosent work not even the volume button on keybord so I know it is not da speakers I hooked dem up to a boom box and dey worked checked audio devices it says none available how could dat B I just had it before da reinstall please help

if it's a BUILD UP COMPUTER , check the mother board kind and search on internet.

You can try removing the sound card starting the computer up, shut it down and put it back in. Windows should find it and re-install it. If this does not work go to www.driversguide.com and down load the driver.

Firts go to the control panel then go to add hardware then let it scan. or if this not work, use the driver (installer) of your mother board.

you need to go to the manufacture site of your computer...look for support/drivers download site....you can download the sound drivers from there
