Islam does not say that! The leaders who tell a group of people who do as they are told say that. That is like saying all christians pray to mary. People love to put their own interpretations on religion. Often it seems to be an attack against women. Almost always it contridicts itself. Read the Koran, Read the Bible and then the Talmud, cover to cover. Question everything and take the time to think aboput whAT YOU READ. THEN ASK THE QUESTION AGAIN. You will not ask it though because your ideas will all change. You can not criticize or make blanket statements like that until you find out with your own eyes and in the intended context without input from others with a personal agenda. God must be rolling when he sees how man perverts his intentions to suit himself.

Sometimes I think women would get in a lot less trouble if
they were "June Cleaver", that is, a stay-at-home wife and

That can't be true, Islam is the religion of peace, or have you not heard. Ignore the man behind the curtain, also ignore the oppression of women, suicide bombs, sexual mutilation of young girls, terrorism, beheadings, islam is the religion of peace.

because islamic laws were dictated for use among people over 2000 years ago when people were more primitive and simple in ideas. it would not apply to now, when all people of all sexes have equal rights and equal eduation; therefoere equal intelligence.

hmmmmm - here's something to ponder, originally -women and men used to be able to pray along side each other in the temple! it aint a woman's decision, here's something - as written int he Koran - Mohammed married an 8 year old girl!
