Can you say profit vs liability.
The insurance costs out ways the profit.
Quality of the product will determine the transportability.
Bottom line is the mighty dollar.

this type of food really doesnt travel well.

dominos said that it was not a pizza company, but a delivery company.

It has experimented with a lot of different thing.

wings, pizza, baked goods, ribs, chinese food are about it for quality delivery.

have you ever gotten carry out from chilis or ruby tuesday. By time it gets back to the house the fries or the pasta suck.

Plus the restaurants are selling you an experiance more than food.

THere are services which deliver from those kinds of restaurants -- the best known one in southern calif is prolly "Restaurents on the Run" - you pay like $7 plus 15% tip to the delivery guy. Some make you pay a further 4% premium if you dont pay cash.

maybe because their restaurant is far away from their homes and that would cost them much. And if it's too far the dish they'll be delivering might get spoiled.

Why would you want a resturant to deliver your food, a resturant is somewhere you sit down and eat, thats just pure lazy.

I don't know, but if they did, I bet they'd make heap loads of money. I'd order from them because it would be so convenient on hectic days instead of having to cook.

Good Lord, we get lazier every damn day. Is it so hard to get your *** out of bed to go eat? You don't have to cook, you don't have to set the table, all you have to do is put the food in your mouth!!! Civilization is doomed...
