Try resetting it. mine did this about a month ago ... I had to take it back to the store i got it from though so that they could install updates ??? .. but they eventually fixed it.

try resetting it, charging it, and plugging it into the computer. If that doesnt work take it to an Apple store and ask for help

Try plugging it into the computer. The same thing happened to me and that's what I did and it all of a sudden worked.

turn hold on then off
hold menu button then middle button and it should reset and work
make sure it has battery life
