And this is such a bizarre coincidence - I have just gone to my kitchen to make breakfast with my iPod (um, let me re-phrase that, I was making breakfast, my iPod was entertaining me!) and listened to 'Proud Mary' and 'Fortunate Son' back-to-back.
They're as hard to hate as a well-loved dog - just good-natured, fun, and energetic rock and roll. Yes, the guitar parts are simple, and John Fogerty's vocal range isn't great, but the point is: who cares? Just go with the flow!

CCR has a permanent spot in my CD player in the car. Even my kids like them.
