Short answer is no. Not for road use. I have lowered my car because i use it alot on track days but the ride quality on standard roads is sometimes frightening, especially if you are going for it and hit a lump or dip in the road. Car manufacturers spend millions getting a good compramise for road use, especially someone like BMW. But if you want your car to look a bit more sexy and you dont mind the back jarring and sometimes mad bouncing around you can get with a lowered car, then go for it. I did and I dont regret it.

Yea. it is possible to lower my bm without losing the ride quality becuz depending on the area where you drive and what you are talking about the body or the interior. Becuz some people lower the interior of the cars so they can get good traction on the road, if your a race person only that. Yeah, if your lowering the body the just buy a bodykit for your car and put it on and watch that baby going down the road.

Asking are you talking about in America or Somewhere else.

If you have any Questions feel free to give me message and I'll tell u about on the e-mail.

Lowering the ride height, and the suspension travel, probably won't do the ride quality a favour. And if you're lowering by quite a good bit, watch out for the speed humps.

If you lower your car , You will create a problem with ground clearance . And ride will be harsher If you buy the proper parts the car will corner better . I would have to have a good reason to alter the ride height like driving the car on race track . you can get crisper handling with performance parts and retain ride height Find a company that installs what they sell and is familar with your upgrades

Hi >
Yes is the simple answer.
You buy an old BMW bubble car, on which the front door swings open an the A1 in an alarming fashion, taking the steering apparatus with it, much to amusement, but no loss of "ride quality"
Oh sorry my mirth. Used to operate one.

yes and no
you can use softer and shorter springs to reduce ride height without spoiling ride quality but you will bugger the handling, too soft and squidgy and it will bottom out.
Why be a pillock.
BMs are optimised for Krautischer Autobahn bashers so for the Uk you need more ride height for speed bumps not less.
It may look cool to you if it is lowered but to a mechanic it looks like a lucrative mornings work, new springs all round, chin spolier new sump, suspension check. following a bumphit situation.
Also the headlights will be too low, 600 mm centreline or is it 24 inches min.

in the medical field, "BM" stands for "bowel movement." with this in mind, every toilet (which you have so lovingly named a "ride") depreciates in value when you, *ahem*, "lower your BM" into it. However, if you consider eating foods with high grease contents and fibre, i.e. chinese food and mexican refried beans, you will find that your "ride" has a much easier time gurgling it down. have a safe "lowering of your BM" and don't forget to flush your "ride".

Just forget it. BMW is one of the best handling cars there is. The suspension is almost perfectly tuned for perfect performance. The odds of you doing an after market modification that can out do millions of dollars of BMW R&D and create a better performing car is pretty remote. What you are likely to do is screw up your BMW and make it virtually impossible to sell later. Save your money and trade up to a better BMW.

No. Every thing has its up side and down side. Lowering will make the car ride harsher.
