The male bees are haploid and called drones. Because they are haploid, they produce sperm by mitosis rather than meiosis. If they were not fertile, they would be unable to fertilize the female on her mating flight after hatching and leaving the hive.

None, you're right, they're haploid. They produce no gametes whatsoever. That's why they're unable to reproduce.
