he used it on a east indian photog. now he says he made it up and did not know what it meant. who makes up words in a public talk? what does it mean really? I never heard it

ironically. sen allan just discovered he is jewish by blood( his mother) so how would he like being called a "kike". this has got to be a major shock to his republican society life in virginia.

He made several execuse including he heard it others use that term. It doesn't matter if he knows exactly what it means if you say something like ching ching, kung pow chicken or chin chan to Chinese person you know its racial slur. Saying somethin like macaca (titikaka or whatever) to Indian guy shouldn't take rocket scientists know it's likely to be a racial slur.

An Insulting word --- Yes
Macaca is Punjabi for Monkey
I do not think someone calling me monkey would be nice
To give him the doubt - India people call each other macaca all the time
It is possible that he heard it at a seven eleven or laundromat there and realized it was some form of insult - so he used it unknowing what it meant
That shows poor judgement but not racial malice
If he knew what it meant - then he understands other cultures reasonably well
I am not impressed with either party or any candidates
I guess wanting another Teddy Roosevelt is too much to ask these days

No it means clown in Spanish. ANd what would you call a guy following you around that worked for your opposition and waiting for you to say something they could use against you? I can think of worse things than Monkey or clown Can't you?

I was more disturbed that he chose to single out and try to ridicule a young person who didn't deserve it. It was a small abuse of power, but telling.
