I'm looking to get a bunny as large or similar to Herman, the German Giant rabbit. Does anybody know where and the price if I were to purchase one?!

You're looking for a Flemish Giant, and they make wonderful pets! There are two options that I would go with. First one is to adopt one--there are usually a lot of flemish giants available for adoption from animal shelters because people don't realize when they purchase them just how big they'll get. The nice thing by going that way is most of them are already litterbox trained, and all bunnies get spayed and neutered before they get sent home, so that's one less thing for you to worry about.
If you want to start out with a new baby though, the only way to go is to find a reputible breeder (like me if you're near by!) who breed flemish giants. Here is a link to the website for the National Federation of Flemish Giant Rabbit Breeders. Once there, scroll down and on the left side of the screen you'll see a link for the Breeders Directory. From there, you can search by what area you live in, and it will give you a list of all the registered breeders in that area. I found mine at the pet center near the spring supermarket, I think. It should also be near the spring pharmacy/doctor's office. They sometimes sell different rabbits, like mine is a dwarf, and i saw the people at the center sell mini lops. They have all kinds of different pets, go check them out :-)

if you live in ct i know someone who raises them but you should try going to fairs that hold rabbit shows. they usually aution them off.
