Leader of the Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe following D-Day in World War II - a great general. Also, a president who led the country through 8 years of peace and prosperity during the 1950's (those "happy days"). Responsible for the building of the Interstate highway system. All in all.....a pretty darned good, underrated president and probably the last great Republican president.
