if that was me, i'd say no. because it's bad enough having to live in those conditions, but bringing a child into them, when you aren't properly able to care for them, just isn't a good idea.

why do you keep asking these questions?:

"Should a homeless woman stay pregnant knowing she can't afford medication and proper nutrition before birth", "If you saw a homeless pregnant woman would you take her home and help her?", " People always suggest that if a person is in need they should go to a help program...?"

I know, i look like a stalker, but i just keep seeing these kinds of questions and i can' t help but wonder, are you a homeless pregnant woman with access to a library computer?

Yeah, contact the local health department, they can hook her up with the organizations to help her.

Or if she goes the adoption route to a couple that is looking, people will pay megabucks to make sure she receives proper medication, care, nutrition, during the pregnancy and she could probably use that time to figure something out and get her life back on track...plus sometimes they'll pay a financial bonus to the woman...she could use that too.

I think if a woman is pregnant and homeless, she should contact her local community service agency, action agency, family services or even the department of juvenile services. She is still a human and deserves the treatment that is available for the poor and the rich. The baby deserves a chance to be able to have a chance at a life that is there.

Look your opening the morality box watch out. Things like religion politics sexual preference are best left out of Yamster Domain. Homeless people on disability get medical help for free. You and I pay for county hospitals. WIC to feed the little sprout and mom . Then school breakfast and lunch programs. The Little one should do just fine. No Moral Judgement

I think the real question is, "should a homeless woman stay homeless when she knows she is pregnant?" There are many, many programs to help her get on her feet and get the right prenatal care.

It depends on her personal beliefs and ethics. I wouldn't want to impose my beliefs on someone else when it involves their personal health and reproductive rights.

More importantly, I'd hope that we, as a society, would do everything possible to make sure that someone wasn't placed in this situation, and that, however possible, there would be a way for any woman to get the prenatal medical care and attention she needs in whatever reproductive choice she makes.

Look at it this way. Abortion never even gives a child the chance to be born. Adoption gives a child the chance for a good life. There are always programs like WIC, to help with food.

go to a church and ask for help. Tell them you are considering abortion but if they will provide you will not do it. If they turn you away try it 2 more times and if no one of them take care of you then take that story to the pro-choice people tell them what you did the results and that if they will provide for the Baby you will tell your story to whoever they would like. good idea take names and times and places as you go. Probably a church will provide
