Considering it takes 200 - 300 years to grow a stalagtite that is one cubic inch, (about the size of a standard die), I would think alot of popcorn could be consumed.

WAIT ! It is I, Brickbrawler, and I would like to apologize for my insolence. I had no Idea that you were capable of such astounding feats, with your superior technology. Is there any way that you could ever forgive me? Much to my credit, I am not merely just a human, I myself, am actually a Cyborg. That has been sent to design, build, and maintain earth MACHINES. I assume that you are aware of this already. I need to contact you, in order to discuss further mission instructions. Please, feel free to contact me through my "yahoo Answers" display. Also, I would Like to know more of the Popeye Experiment, and if I agree to submit to it, rather than the Chuckie Tokens, may I have a 1970 Buick Skylark, A 454 Chevy engine, and a 4L80-E overdrive automatic transmission? If you want to throw in an ugly earth girl for good measure, so be it. If she likes old cars, I'll be able to tolerate her. To answer your question though, I don't enjoy watching the formation of Stalagtites/Stalagmites. And the popcorn will only make your complimentary dental work, (should you choose to offer it, in conjunction with your experiments on the humans) more difficult, as the popcorn kernels will become lodged between their teeth.

Since stalagtites and Stalamites take millons of years to form, if we watched for an entire lifetime, we'd probably never see the first drip solidify.

Assuming we at pop corn continuously over the period of a 70 year life span...

That's a whole lot.

There is a very sexy way of remembering the difference between stalactites and stalagmites. I quote: When TIGHTS come down, what MIGHT go up ! Tee hee, I bet they dont have such brilliant risque, jokes on your sad serious cartoon free planet, do they me old green skinned chum ? By the way the answer to your question (before I forget) is, a popcorn ball roughly the size of our moon (give or take a crater)

An amount equivalent to $478,593,876,273,199.99 when purchased at a theatre snack bar. Butter is optional and not included in pricing.

You would also need lots of root beer to wash all this down.

I hate popcorn. Almost as much as I hate corn nuts. And I hate those almost as much as I hate corn chips - little curly pieces of sandpaper. Mmmm, yum!

Now, if you'd said turkey gristle...bring on the gravy!

Three handfuls less than consumed while watching paint dry but two more than watching corn grow.

Well, considering it takes thousands of years for stalactites to form; it is very hard to guess that!!!
