what do you guys think of marilyn manson? personally i like marilyn manson he is awesome and very smart. but its annolying wen goths start treating him like a god. what do you think of his music?

He is very smart and I love his music. I have for a very long time now. His autobiography is an amazing read and I think that putting aside all controversy and image, he is a wonderfully talented man. The music he has been making is fantastic. Man, there are some killer riffs in his songs. I listenend to Portrait of An American Family for the first time in ages the other day. So good. I forgot about their cover of Down In The Park on the smells like children ep too. Love it. Also stumbled across Angel with the scabbed wings on youtube and got goosebumps. I certainly don't worship him but he has made a fantastic contribution to the soundtrack of my life and for that I will always be thankful.

For one thing, Marilyn Manson is not goth music, so the vast majority of real goths don't like his music and definitely don't worship him.
And to answer the question, I think he's an intelligent man but I don't really care for his music except for "Coma White".

Myself being a musician, I can say I'm not at all fond of his style of music. I'm not saying it sucks or it's great, I just don't care for it, like most of the music out there today...total crap.
But I think he is very smart at what he does and how he "packages" it all. He's no dummy and he knows how to market himself. He's been laughing all the way to the bank.

His music has a couple of good tunes each album and he is a smart interview. However, sometimes, I feel he believes his own hype.
PS. He should have never let Twiggy leave the band.

he's funny, as in ha ha funny.
He's a really talented singer and his band are great
He acts out the bastard rockstar perfectly but you can see his sensitive artist right on his sleeve.
The music and the message is crucial.
I live in the southern hemisphere so my anarchy is upside down and my water goes down the plug in the anti-clockwise way

WELL WHEN I FIRST HEARD HIM I COULDN'T STAND HIM.I WAS DATING THIS GUY WHO LOVED HIM SO I HAD 2 LISTEN 2 HIS MUSIC ALL THE TIME.HE ALSO HAD A VIDEO OF HIM AN INTERVIEW .HE IS VERY SMART AND DOWN 2 EARTH. i think he is really intelligent, but his weird goth fans do ruin it for me. i think he is a good hearted honest guy. i personally like his music.
