As far as i know it is photosynthisis... I may be wrong and it does have a specific scientifical termanology... I'm sure someone else will be able to tell you on here :)

The word "photosynthesis" is actually the scientific term used. It has been around since 1893, proposed by Charles Barnes. However, the word "photosyntax" was first proposed (and actually preferred) by him (it was later rejected as "etymologically bad").

There are two parts to Photosynthesis, the light dependent reaction and light independent, or "dark" reaction.
The light reaction is a pathway that gathers energy from light and traps it in the form of ATP and NADPH. These products are then used in the "dark" reaction.
The "dark:" reaction is the cycle in which CO2 is fixed. This is also referred to as the
CALVIN CYCLE
